The extremely highly concentrated filter bacteria Oase AquaActiv BioKick Premium activate the pond biology that is crucial for the filter in the spring or upon a fresh start. More than 50 billion active microorganisms (at the time of filling) ensure the full performance of your pond filter within a few days.
The liquid, ready-to-use preparation containing autotrophic bacterial strains and enzymes has a shelf life of up to 36 months without refrigeration due to its particularly high bacterial density. Once the ampoules are opened and the liquid preparation is added to the pond filter, the highly effective process begins immediately. Application is very simple. Open the required number of ampoules using the included ampoule opener. Add the liquid directly onto the filter sponges or into any filling chamber present in the pond filter. Your pond filter can continue to run normally during this time. However, remember to switch off any UVC clarifier you may have for the first 3 days. UVC radiation could impair the effect of the starter bacteria.
One ampoule (20 ml) is sufficient for a pond size of 10 m³. A higher dosage is possible, which will reduce the so-called "break-in" period of the pond filter.
The filter starter Oase AquaActiv Biokick Premium is particularly suitable for heavily loaded pond systems, for example with koi populations. We recommend using the Oase AquaActiv BioKick Premium filter bacteria only from a stable water temperature of 8° C to ensure the survival of the bacteria.

Expert tip
After adding the Oase AquaActiv BioKick Premium starter bacteria, we recommend switching off the UVC lamp of your clarifier for 3 days. Otherwise, UVC radiation could impair the mode of action of the filter starters and kill off any filter bacteria that have already formed.
As a supplement, we recommend adding the pond care product Oase OptiPond and the water conditioner and fish care product Oase Safe & Care.
