The highly concentrated starter bacteria Oase AquaActiv BioKick activate the pond biology important for your filter in spring or when restarting. More than 10 million active microorganisms per ml (at the time of filling) accelerate the colonization of your filter sponges with valuable filter bacteria. In addition, the detoxification of nitrite, ammonium, and ammonia begins immediately. With the support of this filter starter, your pond filter reaches full performance within a few weeks. The addition of Oase AquaActiv BioKick is also recommended after a partial water change or intensive filter cleaning. The application is particularly simple; add the starter cultures directly to the filter sponges or into the pond filter. Oase pond filters usually have a specially provided filling chamber. Your pond filter can continue to run normally during this time. However, remember to switch off any existing UVC pre-clarifier for the first 10-14 days. UVC radiation could impair the effectiveness of the starter bacteria. Oase AquaActiv BioKick is a purely biological product and free from pathogenic germs. It is therefore also ideally suited for natural garden ponds. 100 ml is sufficient for ponds with a volume of up to max. 5 m³. We recommend using the starter bacteria Oase AquaActiv BioKick only at a stable water temperature of 8° C to ensure the survival of the bacteria.

Expert Tip
After adding the starter bacteria Oase AquaActiv BioKick, we recommend that you switch off the UVC lamp of your pre-clarifier for 10 to 14 days. UVC radiation could otherwise impair the effectiveness of the filter starters and kill already formed filter bacteria.
As a supportive measure, we recommend adding the pond care product Oase OptiPond and the water conditioner and fish care product Oase Safe & Care.
