The original Hel-X® 17 KLL has proven itself throughout the season, which is why we will continue to offer this pond filter material in our product range. The Hel-X® 17 KLL filter medium has excellent properties and, as a floating bed medium, represents a sensible alternative in biological filters. Furthermore, the Hel-X® 17 KLL filter medium can be used in drum filters or filter pumps, as it is a high-performance plastic filter media.

The Hel-X® 17 KLL filter medium ensures good water quality in your pond with maximum nitrification efficiency. This makes the Hel-X® 17 KLL filter medium ideal for removing ammonium and nitrite in the final filter chamber (clear water). Due to its constant movement, it requires no cleaning and does not need to be replaced. Furthermore, the Hel-X® 17 KLL pond filter material can be used for biological wastewater treatment.

Please note: The Hel-X® 17 KLL filter medium must float freely and cannot be stored in a filter media bag.

White Hel-X is made from new and pure granules, while black Hel-X is made from recycled granules. With white Hel-X, any bacterial cultures that may have settled on the material become more visible due to the discoloration of the white material.
