This food contains no artificial colors. Therefore, this Koi food is significantly less colored than comparable foods. However, this prevents water discoloration. Dyes are added to the food so that the Koi owner is happy and thinks he is feeding a balanced diet. For the Koi, the colors don't matter. They don't recognize the difference. And your water will be happy if they are not in the food, because the dyes eventually dissolve from the pellet and only color the water.
